I spent the day with my Dad today. He was my chauffeur, and we took the scenic route everywhere we went. The high point of the day was lunch with Robby and Erin. We also had fun tooling around Meijer looking at Christmas decorations and baby clothes. I haven’t been out of the house in two weeks, so it was especially nice getting out on this beautiful Autumn day. Tooling around, listening to jazz, turning up the stereo during his favorite part of Stardust, reminiscing about Mom, laughing about funny remembered family moments; a warm hug good-bye, and a phone call an hour later telling me he is home safe. All part of the pattern of a day spent with the worlds greatest Dad. In the words of my Mom:”Thanks for the day.”z

It is my adventure, it is my catharsis, it is my connection. View all posts by cyndigowords
